 Assignment Part 1

Form a group of 3 (one group of 4)

Create a slide show using PowerPoint

Maximum Number of slides: 15

Time: 4 or 5 minutes for the presentation

Your PowerPoint will be a presentation of the most important aspects of Carl Orff’s philosophy and principles of music education. You may also choose to include brief biographical information.

 Use pictures of yourselves doing the action required to tell the story, or you may download free images from the websites listed below.

Google Images: For copyright free pictures do the following…

  1. Click on Search Tools (Top middle of the page)
  2. Click on Usage Rights
  3. Click on Labeled for Reuse

The pictures that pop up are copyright free images.

Use at least one video clip in your presentation. You can record a video, upload it to YouTube and then insert it into a PowerPoint slide.

Remember: when it comes to PowerPoint, fewer words are better. Let the images engage the viewer. You will be telling the facts of the story during the presentation.

Each person in the group needs to be responsible for speaking during the presentation.

 Assignment Part 2

Log into EdPuzzle and watch the 2 videos on Orff. Answer the questions as you go. If you aren’t sure of the answer you can replay the previous section. You just can’t skip ahead.

If you have ANY problems opening the video, first try a different browser (like Safari for Mac or Firefox or Internet Explorer for PC)

Note: There isn’t any sound at the beginning of the video titled “Sing, Say, Dance, Play and More”. The sound comes in after the first question.
