Create a Movie Featuring Émile-Jacques Dalcroze

Directions
Work in your assigned groups
Use iMovie or Windows Movie Maker
Length of your movie: 4 to 5 minutes

Content

1. Include brief biographical information. Be creative in your approach
2. Feature ONE of the following elements. Note: This element will be selected by a drawing during class.
• Philosophy of Music Education
• The Four Absolutes of Dalcroze’s Music Education Theory
• The Pedagogy of Dalcroze’s Music Education Approach
• The content covered in beginning, intermediate and advance Dalcroze lessons
3. A brief demonstration of what a Dalcroze lesson might look like

Rubrics

1. Use introductory and closing “slides” that provide title information and the creators of the video
2. Use video: record yourselves doing the action. You may NOT use videos from other resources
3. You may chose to insert text “slides” throughout the video to provide brief information
5. Use still shots (pictures) of yourselves doing the action or download copyright free images
6. A portion of the video needs to contain spoken narration by members of your group
7. Add music to your video. You MUST use copyright free music. (See Resource below)
