Matthew Phillips and I am a Professor of History at Concordia University, Nebraska.\u00a0 I completed my Ph.D. in medieval European history at Saint Louis University in 2006.\u00a0 My research has focused on medieval monasticism, preaching, devotion to the True Cross, and the Crusades.\u00a0\u00a0 Additionally, I have interests in medieval and early modern European\u00a0education\u00a0and\u00a0the writings and life of Martin Luther.<\/p>\n<p>At Concordia University-Nebraska, I teach World Civilization I, World Civilization II, Europe Since 1914, Early and Medieval Christianity, Renaissance and Reformation, The Medieval Crusades, The Modern Middle East, and Ancient Rome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My name is C.
