At some point, almost everyone asks this question. I have, many times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In high school, it sounded like: \u201cEverything will be better once I graduate and have freedom.\u201d<\/em> Often, we attach our sense of \u201carrival\u201d to the next life milestone, whatever that may be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But here\u2019s the quiet truth most people don\u2019t realize until much later in life: we never actually arrive.<\/strong> There is always a next step. A next goal. A next version of life we think will finally make everything feel settled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And if we\u2019re waiting to feel like we\u2019ve \u201carrived\u201d before we get our money in order\u2026 we end up waiting a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ecclesiastes 11:4 says, In other words, if you wait for the perfect moment\u2014when everything feels certain, stable, and ready\u2014you may never start at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You\u2019ve probably heard the saying: It\u2019s simple, but it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because this\u2014right now\u2014is your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not someday. Not when things calm down. Not when you have more money, more clarity, or more confidence. You are living your life right now<\/em>. And one of the best things you can do for your future self is to start taking ownership of your finances in the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That doesn\u2019t mean you need to have everything figured out. It just means you start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Start paying attention to where your money is going. Small steps taken today shape the life you\u2019ll live tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus reminds us in Luke 16:10, Faithfulness doesn\u2019t begin when you have more. It begins with what you have now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So if you\u2019ve been asking, \u201cWhat am I doing with my life?\u201d<\/em>\u2014here\u2019s a good place to start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Live it. Take ownership.
