Endorsement Programs Offered at CUNE 13-14
Section 2 – Program Completers
In 2013-2014 Concordia University had 104 completers in programs leading to initial teacher certification and 204 completers in programs leading to a degree, endorsement or some other credential that prepared them to serve in P-12 schools.
Section 3 – Substantive Changes
Section 3 Substantive Changes 2013-14 No substantive changes were made in the Educator Preparation Program at Concordia University-Nebraska during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Section 4 – Candidate Performance Data
PPST 2011-2014 The state of Nebraska requires passing the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) prior to student teaching (clinical practice).
EECIA 2011-2014 The Elementary Education Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment test (EECIA) is highly recommended by the Nebraska Department of Education and, when passed, results in a designation as “highly qualified” on the candidate’s teaching certification.
GPA at Admission 2010-2014 The GPA at admission is one measure used to determine adequate progress through the teacher education program.
Conceptual Framework Self-Evaluation Data 13-14 Reflective practice is built into the teacher education preparation process. Candidates evaluate themselves three times during their program. The evaluation is based on the Concordia Conceptual Framework.
Concordia University Conceptual Framework The Concordia Conceptual Framework is based on the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to be an effective teacher, leader, and learner.
Section 5 – Candidate and Program Measures
5.1 – Impact on P-12 learning and development
TAD data 13-14 Summary TAD – Teacher Assessment Data – replaced our previous TED – Teacher Education Data – system during the 2013-2014 academic year. Data gathered is coded to the entry year cohort and is based on the evaluations of candidates completed by instructors, cooperating teachers, and university supervisors.
Capstone Description A document describing the Capstone Project
2014 Capstone Data ECE ElEd 2014 Capstone Data ML – SEC Capstone Project – Candidates complete a capstone project which includes a pretest/posttest on concepts, terminology, and understanding done by the candidate as well as a teaching project evaluated by the instructor.

Teacher Work Sample Checklist 2014 Teacher Work Sample Directions 2014 Teacher Work Sample Rubric 2014 The Teacher Work Sample is a candidate assignment completed during their first student teaching (clinical practice) placement. It includes sections on teaching context, planning, assessment, and reflection. A scoring rubric is used in the evaluation of the candidate product.
2014 TWS Data Data is included for the 2014 Teacher Work Sample for elementary and early childhood candidates. Data was not collected for middle level and secondary candidates.
5.2 – Results of completer surveys
2014 Candidate Exit Survey Candidate Exit Survey. In Spring 2014 candidates were surveyed prior to graduation. The survey included questions in five preparation areas.

5.5 – Indicators of teaching effectiveness
Data is not currently available for in-service teaching effectiveness for program completers. It is the intent of the institution to begin collecting employer surveys and to conduct EPP-designed case studies.
