International Student Teaching

Concordia partners with a number of schools in international locations where education students can complete an eight week international student teaching placement.

Review this International Student Teaching Information to see if international student teaching would be a good fit for you –

Here is a quick summary of what the application and selection process entails …

  • Student meets with the Director of Global Opportunities to review international student teaching parameters.
  • Student completes and returns application materials a year prior to professional semester (by November 1 for placement the following fall – by February 1 for placement the following spring).
  • Student is interviewed by selection committee and informed if they recommend an international placement.
  • If recommended, an international placement is requested from a partner school.
  • If a partner school agrees to host a student, student works with Director on next steps in the process regarding cultural preparation and travel details – student works with Student Teaching office on academic processes related to student teaching requirements.
